New entity, Exxelia Magnetics

Exxelia announces the fusion of its two companies, Exxelia Microspire and Exxelia N’Ergy, to create a single company Exxelia Magnetics.

This is an internal merger of two innovative, professional and complementary companies both designer and manufacturer of high-end would magnetic components, which have a history of successfully working together for a year.

Exxelia Magnetics will have greater scale, breadth and capabilities to compete more effectively in the global marketplace.

Exxelia Microspire

Microspire was founded in 1978 and became part of Exxelia Group in 2008.

Exxelia Microspire has been designing, developing and manufacturing wound components for over 35 years: transformers and inductors, electro-magnets, rotors and stators.

Exxelia Microspire has several manufacturing sites, notably newly located low production cost facilities offering competitive solutions.

Exxelia Microspire’s know-how includes standard winding technologies: linear (in RM, ETD, EP, EFD, ER, EQ and other formats) and toroid. For harsh environment applications with shock, vibration, and high temperature issues, Microspire offers innovative specific technologies including SESI, TT and CCM.

Exxelia Microspire’s qualified technologies, clearly defined design rules and industrial organization provide the platform on which it is able to offer its customers optimal solutions.

Exxelia N'Ergy

Exxelia N’Ergy (ex N’Ergy) was acquired in 2015 by Exxelia Group.  Exxelia N’Ergy designs and manufactures passive specific electromagnetic components in small and medium range:

Transformers,
Chokes,
Sensors (tachometer, gyros, …),
Electromagnets.

Introducing new EXXELIA.COM

Completely re-designed Exxelia new website features user-friendly design, improved functionalities and enhanced rich content to assist electronic engineers, component purchasers, industry professionals and students to quickly access information.  Created with the user experience firmly in mind, the website has been designed to make Exxelia’s vast product portfolio easy to browse. A parametric search engine with filters specific to each product category (capacitance, voltage, temperature, insertion loss, current, frequency, etc.) enables to narrow down the product portfolio and access information in a quick, trouble free and efficient way. More than 680 product series are listed on the website with relevant literature accessible for each series: datasheets, 3D models, high-res pictures and much more.      Technical data, application guides, white papers work together to provide a detailed overview of Exxelia’s capabilities across wide range of technologies. An application section presents the major markets the group is involved in, with a dedicated product selection for every sub-environments: avionics & cockpit, actuation systems, satellites, radars, medical imaging, etc. This section also contributes to better present Exxelia’s diversified offer of components that includes capacitors, magnetics, filters and electromechanical solutions.  “We are thrilled about the new website launch and the robust information it provides to better understand Exxelia wide product offering. We believe this will improve the overall customer experience and strengthen our brand as a technology leader and quality product manufacturer” said Marie Evrard, Head of Marketing and Communication at Exxelia.  “We believe this new site will allow our visitors to have a very informative experience as we increase our market presence. The group continues to grow and it was necessary to streamline our website to make it easier to navigate.” states Jérôme Tabourel, Marketing & Sales VP at Exxelia. Exxelia new website will be updated on a regular basis with new product launches, company info, events and technical information.

New Plug&Play filters for datacenters and mission critical facilities

Electronic equipment can leak sensitive information over conducted or radiated electromagnetic emanations, and signals transmitted down unprotected lines can potentially be intercepted. That’s why filters are implemented into systems to prevent EMI disturbances, as TEMPEST filters stop the high frequency EM signals (or noise) emanating inside the secured environment. Exxelia has a long history of manufacturing state-of-the-art electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering technologies for space, avionic and defense markets. Thanks to this in-depth knowledge, Exxelia came to the conclusion that the installation of a product is as critical as its reliability, especially when shielding continuity and sensitive copper terminals are involved. That’s where Exxelia’s new full range of TEMPEST pluggable filters will save time and spare headaches! The 9260W series is a multi-socket line extension with a built-in 16A Tempest filter (minimum 60dB, from 100KHz to 1GHz), CE qualified according to EM 60950-1 standard. 9260W series Plug&Play solution is available with UK, US and EU standard plugs and can be provided with any other standard plug upon request. In addition, Exxelia completed its offer with the 9259W series of pluggable filters featuring various plug interfaces such as VGA/DVI, USB, Ethernet, Phone, Audio and much more. 9260W series and 9259W series are both fully compliant with EMC expectations and allow considerable time saving and cost-effectiveness. When a standard filter needs to be wired and shielded to each socket one-by-one before carefully re-closing the whole equipment, Exxelia new series can be installed using no special tools and with a smaller footprint. To all people handling sensitive information, a simple plugging operation is now enough to protect their data. Available now, 9259W and 9260W series are fully customizable upon request.
